You can taste the terroir of rich Paraguayan soil in this pure mate variety. Hints of tobacco, sweet hay, and black soil are lightened with swirls of tart cherry, caramel, and mild citrus. Keeping true to the signature hybrid cut of generous dust and stems, along with medium cut leaves, Ascension is like no other mate. Excellent hot or try making iced yerba mate.
Ingredients
Organic Paraguayan yerba mate
Brewing Instructions
Brew for 3–5 minutes in hot water (150–170ºF, 65ºC–76ºC) to achieve a full-bodied flavor. For a brighter, cleaner taste, brew in cold water. Optionally, use a traditional yerba mate cup (or cuia) and bombilla/bomba (filtered straw) until the flavor fades. Add a touch of honey for sweetness. Enjoy!
