Description
We’re Taking All Liberties
Freedom of mind, body and spirit. Freedom and clarity of thought. Freedom of creative expression. Freedom of action and chosen direction. Freedom to take flight and expand your every desire. Without a second thought, yerba mate is one of the greatest facilitators and accelerators of freedom’s multifaceted machinations.
Within, yerba nimbles thought and enhances immunity; without, yerba fosters community and ignites creative action. Liberty Cup, handcrafted with love and passion, shows the inward heat used to generate novel expression. And the outward result is the sharing of the cuia, further expanding sovereignty of thought and expression, ad infinitum.
Pressed by the hands of cuia crafters with decades of experience, within the greatest erva mate Capital of South America, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, each piece is unique and special.

Allow the Natural Curing Process
No need to cure your cuia with any particular method. The vessel will naturally cure on its own, within three months, depending on your climate (faster in drier weather). Some mold and mildew is perfectly normal, as the excess plant material inside the vessel breaks down with use. After several weeks, you’ll notice a uniform dark hue and the cuia will begin to dry rapidly after each use. Most mate drinkers continue to use the cuia throughout the entire process, but you may also alternate between vessels during this process. If you are totally against mold and oxidation, then we recommend you select a metal or wooden vessel.
