Mate Nativo Lemon Ginger does a good job of not going overboard with muddling flavors. Clarity is still very much a part of this blend. Brazilian erva, being naturally malty and dank, plays smartly with the more jubilant and peppery lemon ginger union. Lukewarm water is excellent here, allowing the best of both worlds: sweet clarity of the subtle notes with mild exposure of the heavy malts and soil.
Brew for 3–5 minutes in hot water (150–170ºF, 65ºC–76ºC) to achieve a full-bodied flavor. For a brighter, cleaner taste, brew in cold water. Optionally, use a traditional yerba mate cup (or cuia) and bombilla/bomba (filtered straw) until the flavor fades. Add a touch of honey for sweetness. Enjoy!
